Q: First of all, congratulations for being nominated as September 2009’s Switch Superstar! So tell us a bit about yourself, where are you from, your age, what do you do beside working at Switch, you know, the personal stuff.

A: My name is Alfa, I’m from Perlis. I’m still pursuing my Degree in Bachelor of Technology in Computing and Intelligent Systems. I’m a photography enthusiast, and I like shooting portraits. I fell in love with Mac after being introduced to iPhoto, part of the iLife application suit.

Q: When did you join Switch, and what made you join?

A: I’ve been with Switch for almost a year. The main reason I joined Switch is to learn more about Apple products.

Q: Please describe your typical day at work.

A: My daily routine is of course to introduce Mac to customers. Most customers come to us looking for consultation on Apple products. Some of them may need support, some may need more info on Macs and iPods.

Q: What is your favourite part of working at Switch?

A: I like to share information. I’m glad that we, Switchers, are constantly sharing idea, info, experiences, and solutions among ourselves. I also like to solve problems. Working at Switch really gives me a lot of experiences on this aspect.

Q: Can you share with us the most important thing that you’ve learned from working at Switch?

A: Problem solving, communication skill, and teamwork.

Q: What advice would you give to other Switchers (your colleagues) at work?

A: Find the solution, and solve the problem. Always try to interact with the person next to you and communicate with them. It really helps when we can share our knowledge. Whether a customer is shopping or looking for support, share our best Mac experience with them.
