S: My first experience with this particular headphones really blew off the water. Despite being light weighted, the built quality is really good and rugged. Being an in-ear headphones, it fitted comfortably.

Q: What are your favourite features on AKG K 324 P?

S: Having both an iPod nano and an iPhone, I have no problem inter-changing as the headphones are compatible with iPhone. Besides that, with good bass and strong all-round clarity I am able to enjoy my movies and computer games on my notebook whenever I am on the go.

Q: Who do you think this product is suitable for?

S: Definitely suitable for gym-goers as well as those who love light-weighted in-ear headphones.

Q: Is there any advice that you’d like to give to those who are interested to own AKG K 324 P?

S: There is a range of AKG headphones that you can choose from depending on your usage. So it’s best if you check out which works the best for your environment. I needed something light without loosing the sound quality and I found them in my AKG K 324 P. :)

Q: Can you share with us your first experience with Targus (R)evolution Backpack?

H: First impression when I looked at the bag is that it is quite big. But for its size it is definitely light. The notebook compartment looks spacious. There looks to be ample padding on the shoulder straps, good for long walks holding a heavy load in the bag.

Q: What are your favourite features on Targus (R)evolution Backpack?

H: Given our unpredictable weather at this point in time, I definitely say the built-in raincoat that covers the bag – although I wouldʼve appreciated if the bag came with a raincoat to cover me as well ! But there are a lot of nifty features that are really useful such as the padded MP3 pocket with a headphone port that connects to your iPod safely inside the bag. Perhaps the most important thing it appeals as a bag is the vast amount of storage space. You could put everything in plus your kitchen sink!

Q: Who do you think this product is suitable for?

H: For anyone who wants the best protection for their MacBooks or MacBook Pros. This robust bag is suitable for all condition and location. It will never look out of place in college or an office setting. It truly is the notebook backpack for everyone.

Q: Is there any advice that you’d like to give to those who are interested to own Targus (R)evolution Backpack?

H: Targus has backed it up by giving all its (R)evolution Backpack owners a limited lifetime warranty on the bag. A bag is a bag though, otherʼs personal tastes and requirements might still differ from mine. But I would say have a look at the bag and give it a try. This definitely is one worthwhile investment. Iʼd give this bag a 4 out of 5 rating.

(Targus (R)evolution Backpack is currently retailed at RM359 and available at all Switch™ outlets.)

Staff Pick: iBass – Music Station for iPods.

With plenty of switching in progress, we have decided to roll out our very first post from the Staff Pick series. Staff Pick, a series currently scheduled to be posted once every fortnight, features handpicked and recommended items from our crew.

This week, we have Cedric Ng, the Retail Supervisor of Switch @ Gurney Plaza, to talk about his experiences with iBass, the music station for iPods.

(Cedric = C)

Q: Can you share with us your first experience with iBass?
C: I was quite surprised when I first tested the speaker. Both treble and bass are clear. I think the sound quality is good for a speaker at this price.

Q: What are your favourite features on iBass?
C: My favourite is definitely the remote control. It allows users to control treble and bass, and basic iPod functions such as play, pause, forward, volume, as well as shuffling and repeating functions. Other than that, the five included universal dock adapters supporting iPod classic, iPod touch, iPod nano, iPod mini and iPhone 3G are also my favourite. The included 3.5mm headphone jack and cable is also a plus point – which means it supports more than just iPods.

Q: Who do you think this product is suitable for?
C: I think it suits those who are looking for a simple, compact, non-bulky speaker that charges the iPod when they are listening to their favourite songs.

Q: Where do you think this speaker will fit into?
C: The black exterior is stylish, and with the nice curves, it will fit into almost any space. Personally I’d recommend placing in a small living room, office cubicle (if you are allowed to, of course), and perhaps your personal gym or workout station.

Q: Is there any advice that you’d like to give to those who are interested to own iBass?
C: Not much, except that with this speaker, you should expect yourself to concentrate even more with whatever you are doing – because there is no need to worry that your iPod will be out of battery anymore.

(iBass is currently retailed at RM339. You can now purchase iBass at RM219 with any iPod or Mac purchased. Available at all Switch™ outlets. Terms and conditions apply.)
