Switch Superstar : Kamil

Kamil, a new switcher based at Switch@The Mines, has been nominated as April’s Switch Superstar. He has been well known as someone who is capable of assisting in daily administration while maintaining an outstanding monthly sales performance. He is also a good team player in Switch.

Q: First of all, congratulations for being nominated as April 2010’s Switch Superstar! So tell us a bit about yourself, where are you from, your age, what do you do beside working at Switch, you know, the personal stuff.

K: My name is Kamil Mahdi Abd Rahman. My state of origin is in Jitra, Kedah.I was born on 14.12.1977 so I am 33 years old this year. My hobby is surfing the internet, watching movies and I love to do interior designing. I like to cook whenever I have a free time. Besides about myself, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Switchers especially Mr. Winson (our GM) to give me the chance to prove what I can do and also very thanks to Mr. John, Jason, Kant, Firdaus, Fazmy, Kong and Mr. Li for leading me and guiding me.

Q: When did you join Switch, and what made you join?

K: I joined this family on 13th January 2010. Learning was the main reason that I join Switch because I believe that they could provide me a well training and I am a gadget enthusiast.

Q: Please describe your typical day at work.

K: My routine at work is to ensure the shop is clean and most of all ensure the operations run smoothly. I also do stock checks from time to time and lastly is to maximize our sales.

Q: What is your favourite part of working at Switch?

K: My favorite part working with Switch is generating sales, the ability to explain the specialities of Apple products and manage to convince the customer to make a purchase without any hassle or doubts. Assisting the customers on their problems regardless of any Apple products is one of my role working in Switch as well.

Q: Can you share with us the most important thing that you’ve learned from working at Switch?

K: The most important thing that I’ve learnt was team work as well as Apple products.

Q: What advice would you give to other Switchers (your colleagues) at work?

K: Work in a healthy environment, sincere and passion in their work, be competitive & think positively. (Switchers Boleh!!!!)
