Q: First of all, congratulations for being nominated as May 2010’s Switch Superstar! So tell us a bit about yourself, where are you from, your age, what do you do beside working at Switch, you know, the personal stuff.
J: Hey, first of all I would like to thank Switch for nominating me, I truly appreciate all the guidance and support that has been provided to me, without the patient guidance especially from my seniors (Cedric and Jason) I will never even been considered. I was definitely in shock when I receive the mail. Anyway, my name is Jasmim Merican, I am 23 years old, born and grew up in Penang. I’ve just completed my Degree in Computer Studies recently.
Q: When did you join Switch, and what made you join?
J: I joined Switch in November 2008, the main reason why I join Switch was because I have always been fascinated by Mac system. I was a PC user ever since I got my first PC when I was about 10 years old. I “Switch” to Mac just right after I joined Switch, it was definitely one of the greatest switching experience in my life.
Q: Please describe your typical day at work.
J: Well, my typical day at work consist of ensuring that all the Macs and iPods are in perfect order. In addition to that, I have to keep track of all incoming and outgoing stocks. Next is to make sure that all the demo units are clean and the display units in the store are well organized. Last but not least is to provide solutions to customers and switching them to Mac.
Q: What is your favourite part of working at Switch?
J: My favorite part of working at Switch is meeting various type of new customers and providing them solutions that will suits their needs.
Q: Can you share with us the most important thing that you’ve learned from working at Switch?
J: The most important thing that I have learned from Switch is that to always stay committed and always provide the solutions / service with integrity.
Q: What advice would you give to other Switchers (your colleagues) at work?
