Switchers Say

Over the years, Switch’s very own Mac Familiarisation session (currently held at Switch@Gurney Plaza) has assisted many new (and some old) Mac users to get to know their new Macs. If you have been wanting to attend the session, but haven’t been able to make yourself available at Switch@Gurney Plaza, we have a good news for you.

Mac Familiarisation will now be available at Switch@Queensbay Mall. The first session will be on 17 October 2009, 1:30pm-4:00pm, conducted by Switcher, Ching Hou. For reservation, kindly write to chiahoey@switch.com.my.

Note: Mac Familiarisation is free for new Switch customer with Mac purchased, RM10 for member, or RM120 for non member. First-come-first-served.

If you have been wondering how to compose your very own music with your Mac, here is the chance. Switch@Queensbay Mall will be hosting two sessions of GarageBand ‘09 Preview on the following day and time, by Wee-Khee Loh from SAMWISEMUSIC:

Date: 15 August 2009

Time: 2:00pm-3:00pm, and 5:00pm-6:00pm

Admission: FREE (Limited to 15 pax per session. Call in at 04-646 5591 or email chiahoey@switch.com.my for reservation)

Both sessions are the same. So if you can’t make it for the first session, there is another at later hours.

Wee-Khee Loh a.k.a the Fun-KEY Guy will also be conducting more sessions at Switch@Gurney Plaza and Switch@Queensbay Mall in the near future, including Basic Training Courses (Basic Recording, Basic Podcast-ing), and Advanced Training Courses (Go Pro – Advanced Recording Course, Understanding Your Mixing Console / PA System). Switch @ Mines Shopping Fair are having the following CoffeeMUG sessions in April 09:

• iPhone + iTunes: Monday – Thursday, 8:00p.m. – 9:00p.m.
• Mac OS X, iLife 09, iPod + iTunes: Friday and Saturday 8:00p.m. – 9:00p.m, Sunday 1:30p.m. – 3:00p.m.

A 2-hour one-to-one session is also available upon request. Pre-registration is required (one week before the requested time).
