I’ve got the best of both worlds.
I’ve been a Switcher in the logistic’s department for about half a decade now. We represent a crucial part of the business performing a wide range of duties daily from managing inventory to coordinating deliveries and distribution of goods. When I’m not busy at the warehouse, you can find me playing the bass guitar and performing in local joints.
It all started when I heard the song “For Whom the Bell Tolls” by Metallica. Cliff Burton, the bassist of the band was the reason I picked up the bass guitar. I remember the good old college days when I would jam with my friends for fun.
From there, our mutual love for Metallica and metal music inspired us to form a band called “MAYANGS” that was named after the famous Terengganu myth, Ulek Mayang as a token of our respect and tribute to the myth.
We perform at least once per month playing our own music in various locations around Penang such as Soundmaker Studio and Dusthall Studio.
Every performance is a dream come true. Performing is an escape for me, my paradise; where I am free to be myself, to be stress-free and just lose myself in the music.
My name is Fatah. I am both a Switcher and an aspiring musician.
